All Progressive Congress (APC), Abeokuta North Local Government has experienced a change in leadership after the tenure of Alhaji Akeem Shobayo popularly known as (Alaga Mesan), Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, as resumed her office as the newly elected chairperson of the the local government party.
The handing over ceremony took place on Friday, at the party's secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital in presence of prominent stakeholders and leaders of the party who expressed satisfaction in the new era of the party.
The new Chairperson, Alhaja Faidat Akintinde while speaking with Amebo Newspaper NG correspondent commended the former Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Shobayo popularly known as (Alaga Mesan) for his efforts towards moving the party forward in the local government during his tenure as the chairman.
Also, she applauded the leaders of the party for choosing her to lead the party as she promised to use her strength to move the party to a greater height most especially in settling with aggrieved members of the party and bringing them back.
"On behalf of the leadership of the Party, I say a very big thankàà you, because you have done well"
Also part of the event, was the inauguration of the new Chairman.
Present at the handing over were; Organising Secretary of the Party, Mr. Olagbeji Sabur, the Treasurer, Mr. Oluwaseun Akinpelu, and the Youth leader of the local government, Hon. Solomon Akibo, among others.
