The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Mr Omobolaji Odusanya has charged the local government workers to live up to expectations in their discharge of duties in repositioning the local government to its lofty heights especially on synergistic efforts towards excellence and service delivery.
Odusanya who was in company of his Vice Chairman, Hon Comfort Adeyemi gave this admonition while inspecting the state of the local government resources within the council compound as been led by the Director of Finance.
While meeting the Director of General Services and Administrations/Acting Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) Mr Dapo Banjo, Odusanya stressed that his performance and developmental strides as the Chairman will birth more open doors for youths to fill-up leadership roles.
"I am representing a particular Constituency, which is that of the Youths, whatever landmark I lay will serve as a precedent which will either make or mar the chances of other youths coming behind me to be entrusted with leadership roles".
" I particularly need ambience within the Council area which includes serene environment, embellished offices, placement of fixtures and fittings, working gadgets etc", he noted.
He however sought for cooperation, wise counsel, synergy and incorruptible working relationship with the members of staff so as to have laudable achievements especially in terms of services and projects that will be worthy of future referencing and lasting the test of time.
In his response, while welcoming the Chairman, the Director of General Services and Administrations who also doubles as the Acting Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Dapo Banjo assured the new Chairman of the workers full cooperation and synergy. He said been a son of the soil as well, it will be his delight to see enviable projects been executed during his time as head of administrations.
He furthered that though paucity of fund is a major impediments towards some of the expectations of the new council boss, he alluded that with the new youthful leadership acumen that will be injected by the Chairman, the sky is definitely the starting point for the administration.
