OGUNSOLA INSTALLED AS APESIN IJEMO LAND

The former Secretary to Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Chief(Hon.) Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina has been installed and become Apesin Ijemo Land conferred by the traditional Chiefs of Council, Ijemo Land on October 11, 2020.

The colourful ceremony was held at the Ijemo Town Hall, had in attendance traditional ruler and other dignitaries, which include Oba Reuben Olalekan Oluwole; the Kabiesi Olu Ajebo Land, former speaker Ogun State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun who is also the Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters in Ogun State, Able Special Adviser to Governor of Ogun State on Works and Infrastructures; Chief(Engr.) Akeem Babatunde Adesina; who is double chief as Odofin Imo Land, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun; Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Ifekayode Akinbode;  Consultant to Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo  Abiodun MFR, Mr. Kayode Falola Chief Executive officer DARFLOK Automobile, Chief Olumide Falola; Chief Executive Officer Sweet Estate Company, Hon. Fatai Mustapha; Chairman, Transition Committee Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Hon. Adeyemi Adelani; A.P.C organised Secretary, Ogun State and Venerable (Dr) Victor Popoola, Ogun State Chairman Police Community Relations Committee.

After the traditional rites were performed on Chief Ogunsola by the Traditional Chief of Council, Chief(Engr.) Adesina; the Odofin Imo Land stated that the conferment of Chief Ogunsola as Apesin Ijemo Land is a revelation of his good dispositions in the societies, added that, the Ijemo Council of Chiefs have choosen the Man of integrity, diligent, accommodating and gentle.

Odofin Imo Land, Chief Adesina thereafter charged the celebrant, Chief Ogunsola to continue in his good work and also see the bestowal as an opportunity to serve, ensuring that he complements the Government efforts in enhancing socioeconomic development in the domain.

The Olu Ajebo Land, Kabiesi, Oba Reuben Olalekan Oluwole in His goodwill message, he thanked Ijemo Chiefs of Council and thereon, urged the new Apesin-Ijemo Land after the official installation and presentation of Staff of office, to use the position to facilitate development projects that would make life comfortable for the people in the community.

Oba Reuben, however, pressed that Chief Ogunsola, the newly installed Apesin, Ijemo Land should use his capable gifts of nature to muster for support of the entire people of Ijemo Land in order to make the community a model in development activities.

In response, Chief Apesin Ijemo Land, Chief Ogunsola, expressed enthusiasm on the conferment bestowed upon him while initially appreciated his heavenly Creator; God, for preserving him to the level of recognition in the societies while thereafter thanked those who facilitated the conferment, those who saw him through the conferment, pledged that he would not reneged on his efforts to contribute to the development in Ijemo Land.
