One Confirmed Dead In Fatal Accident Along Berger-Itori Expressway In Ogun

Abeokuta - One person has been reported dead along Berger Bridge Itori, outbound Abeokuta on Abeokuta - Lagos Express road today in a road accident involving Howo truck (white) with Reg.num FKJ 356. XX.

According to the motor boy of another truck belonging to the same company, who met the accident, he said the accident was caused by brake failure and that the dead driver was told to first fix the faulty break before the trip but he refused saying that he will manage the break and fix it when he returned from the trip.

The dead victim was later deposited at Ifo General Hospital Morgue by the operatives TRACE and FRSC.

Flow of traffic was affected, the accidental truck is blocking the entire lane outbound Abeokuta. Traffic now diverted from outbound to inbound Abeokuta. Efforts ongoing to ensure accidental vehicle is evacuated and tow to nearby police Cage so that normal traffic will be returned to outbound Abeokuta.
