Breaking: Ogun Workers Ends 7-Days Warning Strike

Abeokuta - The organised labour has reached agreement with Ogun State government to end the 7 days warning strike which started on the night of Wednesday 16th of August.

The state government was represented by Alhaji Salisu Shuaibu, Chief of Staff, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the state Government, Pastor Remmy Hassan, Special Adviser to Governor Abiodun on Information among others.
After long time discussion, the organised labour and the state government agreed to the following terms before the strike was called off.

Labour and Government reached agreement.

1. Minimum wage to Commence in October   2020.

2. 2018 till date Promotion exercise to commence immediately.

3. Gratuity and BRT to be paying quarterly to commence in January 2021.

The Nigeria Labour Congress chairman, Comrade Bankole Emmanuel appreciated  all workers in Ogun State for their perseverance, endurance and support during the strugge, saying Government and Labour are partner in progress, it's a matter of Employer and Employee

He said organised labour unions shall continue to take the welfare of workers as priority.
