- Index case remains on admission and perfectly well but the only reason we are keeping him is because our tests confirm he is still secreting small amount of virus which means that he is potentially still contagious

- The positive contact of the index case has tested NEGATIVE to the Corona Virus and has been discharged

- The remaining contacts of the index case; those in Ogun and Lagos States remain symptoms free & have exceeded the 14 days surveillance. This means that we do not expect any of them to turn positive from contact with the index case.

- On Corona Virus not affecting “blacks” .. There is NO Evidence for that.

CONCLUSION: In Lagos State, we have been able to interrupt the transmission between the index case and anybody in this environment. We have broken the circle of transmission and have not given the virus the opportunity to spread beyond one person.
