This is good news. At least to the numerous fans of very talented actress, Mrs. Fausat Balogun, popularly known as Madam Saje. And what is the good news? Their favourite role interpreter in Yoruba movies has concluded plans to relocate. And most of her fans at reading this must be saying that, it is high time she did so, or long overdue.

And where is she relocating to? Abroad? Definitely not! Not at her age. The veteran thespian who has lived as a tenant for many years in Agbado-Ijaye axis of Lagos/Abeokuta Express Way will be relocating to her self built house in Ikorodu any time from now. According to the feelers reaching this writer, the actress usually scripted for roles of a mother in films, mostly a good mother and at few times, a not too good one, will now become a landlady too.

Hence, she will now be joining many of her colleagues who have relocated to Ikorodu which is fast becoming Yoruba actors stomping ground. As at the last check, at least, over 75% of Yoruba thespians in Lagos live in Ikorodu either in their self built house or rented apartment. And in a way, that counts when casting for movies is happening because there is always that tendency for those living close together to consider themselves for roles before reaching out to those who live far only for roles those living around may not be able to interpret properly.

The foregoing, in a way, may have contributed to Madam Saje's decision to build her own house too in Ikorodu so as to be very close to the thick of the action. And besides, she remains one of the best there is when casting comes to giving verisimilitude to the roles of a mother. Trust Madam Saje, she will interprete the role like it is happening to her in real life. So, her moving to Ikorodu is surely for the good of her career and the good of casting her for more roles by producers. And saying congrats to her in advance is in order.
