Ogun State House of Assembly today screened 13 caretaker Committee  Chairmen and their members from Ogun East and West Senatorial Districts, with an observation of a minute silent for one of the Chairmanship nominees from Ipokia Local Government, Shuaib Adeosun, who died this morning.

The Speaker, Rt. Olakunle Oluomo, who presided over the screening said the Assembly would strengthen its oversight  function at the Local Government level to ensure effective performance of the nominees, if eventually confirmed and sworn in by the Governor.

The death of the Chairmanship nominee from Ipokia Local Government made the Assembly postponed the screening of the Caretaker Committee members for the Local Government till further notice.

Chairmen nominees and transition committees members from Ogun Waterside, Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu, Ijebu North East, Ikenne, Ijebu North, Sagamu, Remo North and Ijebu East were screened by the lawmakers.

Other chairmen and members screened by the State Lawmakers are those from Yewa South, Yewa North, Imeko Afon and Ado-Odo/Ota.
