The front line chairmanship aspirant of Abeokuta South local government in the forthcoming election, Comrade Olujimi Adekunle David popularly known as Desmond has lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun over the sport trust fund initiative.
Olujimi commended the governor at the end of the the first African edition of the 50 kilometres Valuejet IAU African Championship Race, tagged Remo 2019 last weekend.
He described the initiative as a means of getting youths involved more in sport activities and implementation of all-inclusive governance to the grassroots by this administration.
Olujimi said the initiative will not only rekindle the hope of the youths in Ogun State but boost level of exposure and reduce rate of crimes and criminality drastically as the youths will have something tangible engaging themselves on instead of being idle.
He reinstated his commitment towards working in partnership with Governor Abiodun in Abeokuta South to give dividends of democracy to the grassroots through youth empowerment programmes that will impact positively on the lives of the people.
