In response to the unfortunate killings of two students of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti during a protest for lack of electricity supply both at Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti campuses of the institution, the National Secretariat of NANS wish to notify the entire public of her decision to relocate to Ado-Ekiti with the following itineraries:
Arrival: Sunday 15th September, 2019
Activities:
*Meeting with SUG Executives of FUOYE.
*Meeting with JCC leadership and Stakeholders.
Monday 16th September, 2019
Activities:
*Visit to the Palace of Oloye of Oye- Ekiti.
*Tour on campus and students village to ascertain the level of damage
*Visit to the Management of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti.
* Visit to Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti.
*Visit to the Palace of Olojudo, Ido-Ekiti.
*Visit to the family of Late Comrade Joseph Okonofua.
*Visit to the palace of Olusi of Usi-Ekiti.
*Visit to the family of Late Comrade Kehinde Dada.
Tuesday 17th September, 2019
Activities:
*Visit to Benin Electricity Distribution Company
*Visit to the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command
*Visit to the the State Director, SSS, Ekiti State Command.
*Procession and submission of protest letter to Ekiti State Government.
*World Press Conference.
The National Secretariat of NANS hereby use this medium to direct all affiliate unions, elected and active members of the organization in the following states(Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun) to mobilize in solidarity with the oppressed students of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti.
Kindly note that in mourning the departed comrades and seeking justice on their behalf, no unruly attitude will be tolerated.
