Nigerians have had their say on the report making the rounds in the media that Akinwunmi Ambode, immediate past Governor of Lagos state, has had the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC freeze N9.9 Billion bank accounts linked to him.
Some loyalists to the leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu are thought to be behind the petition to the country’s anti graft agency.
The punch reports the EFCC is investigating him for alleged N9.9bn fraud.
Ambode, who served only one term before handing over to Babajide Sanwolu is believed to have lost out of favour with his political godfather, Tinubu.
