Buhari To FCT Residents: "You're A Necessary Evil"
President Muhammadu Buhari has described residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as a necessary evil even though they did not vote for him and his Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo in 2019 general elections.
The president, however, said this amidst laughter when FCT permanent secretary, Christian Ohaa, led a delegation of Abuja residence comprising religious leaders, National Assembly members, civil servants, service chiefs and heads of other security agencies among others to pay him Sallah homage to mark the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.
President Buhari said amongst others, “I have just spoken to the senator on my left (Philip Aduda) and I told him that his constituency did not vote for me. So I was very pleased that when they made the arrangement they put him very far away from me. I have all the results of all constituencies. I am not threatening FCT because to make FCT secure is to make myself secure and the vice president. I think they know that they are a necessary evil that was why they decided to vote for PDP.”

APC Mocks Former National Chairman, John Oyegun
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has mocked former National Chairman, John Oyegun, saying he and the National Working Committee he led as National Chairman lacked the courage required to confront the pockets of political despots who could not operate by the party’s rules.
The party cited the National Assembly saga in 2015 that saw the emergence of Bukola Saraki as Senate President and Yakubu Dogara as Speaker against party wishes, while Oyegun could not do anything about it till he left office.
New Imo State Governor Ihedioha To Probe Rochas Okorocha
Ihedioha has pledged to test each budgetary managing done by the state over the most recent eight years.
Ihedioha said this as he uncovered that nothing was given over to him by Okorocha.
"I should include the administrations of security offices in ensuring that the individuals who served the state must record for it (cash spent).
"I will condemn the individuals who plunder our treasury. Nothing was given over to me. We should make them responsible," Ihedioha said.
