The former member of House of representatives in Ile Ife federal constituency, Honorable Rotimi Makinde has lament over the projects that may go down the drain in Ile ife Osun State.

According to him, Project management is a major plank of governance at all strata of society. In both public and private sectors of all societies, professional and sustainable project planning and management has become crucial and important in the initiation, articulation and implementation of projects.

This assertion and many more  was highlighted by Hon Rotimi Makinde when he was questioned by AmebofeedsBlog correspondent about the possibility of him not returning to government as he confirmed his failured to grab the party ticket for the House of Representatives.

"I am not so pained contrary to people's opinion.... I remained in APC despite the party decisions and I doubt if I can vouch or campaign for any other party, Although I frowned at the undemocratic manner applied to picked candidate, we were made to embarked on wasteful expenditure and to part with huge money to the cover of national body."

"Well..., I have overcomed the shock.I am not in politics because of any individual but because of my people and mankind. I have been a very successful personality before i ventured into the mucky water of politics, I will continue to seek political  power to enable me touch many lives."

"In actual fact, I feel unfulfilled at this moment basically because I have so many unprecedented projects across my constituency and I daily cry for their completion. These were my initiatives while in government but to which fund and time were against me said Makinde."

These projects includes Maternity hospital in Aluti Erin village,Civic Centre in Famia,Yekemi and Mefoworade and in other places accros Ife land and lots...

This scenario sends signal to my mind as to why legislators usually embarked on non tangible projects and worked in such a way with mindset that they are not likely to return to office.

Meanwhile, It is on record that Hon Makinde gave out more than 100 cars and hundreds of tricycle to mention but just few but at the same time he has embarked on laudable projects such as Scholarships and school projects to his credit.

Conclusively, Hon Rotimi Makinde suggested the way forward for the constituency to be making specific demand of projects and to set up transformation agendas and jettisoned this idea of rating and assessment based on political party. Should any occupier therefore to achieve it he or she should be blacklisted.
The best is to call on the attention of any likely winner to look into that direction so that those projects will not go down the drain.
