Amosun suspends Ifo AMORAN, ACOMORON over alleged rift with Oluomo

Ahead of the 2019 gubernatorial election, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Ogun State Governor has suspended the  executive members of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners Repairs and Riders Association Of Nigeria   (ACOMORON),and the Articulated Motorcycle and Riders Association Of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ifo, over rift with Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, the Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The rift emanated after Oluomo disagreed with the Governor over the party’s consensus lists in the state, insisting on direct primary.

It would be recalled that the Governor, in compliance to his promise that his successor would  be from the Ogun West, came up with the list of candidates having chosen Hon. Akinlade as his preferred successor, sweeping almost all the House of Assembly Members away.

A development that brewed sentiments among his State cabinet and members, especially from other Senatorial Districts in the State.

Speculations equally have it that the All Progressive Congress Central Working Committee threw the consensus list to the bin and called for popularly canvassed direct primar, which the Governor was not happy about.

Following his recent action, the input of these bodies in revenue and employment generation may have been sacrificed on the altar of petty politics and vengeance.
