Indeed, it was a feat unprecedented in the polity of Ogun State as Hon (Dr) Ladi Adebutu made good his promise by donating six 500KVA transformers to six densely populated communities in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State.

The Ota communities that benefitted from the largesse included Odan Agbara, Igbesa, Ilogbo, Ijoko Tuntun, Wasimi Onipanu and Papa Aro.
The residents of these communities trooped out enmasse to receive Hon Adebutu and his entourage. They expressed deep appreciation for acceeding to their requests for transformers that would enhance socio-economic life of the communities.
Olori Ibiyinka Ojugbele, Chief Ezekiel Ajasa and Evangelist Lanre Adebowale, in particular, stated that the donation of the transformers was a significant development to the residents. "I think we can now begin to have a sigh of relief. Lado promised to give us 500KVA transformer and he did. He brought life and hope for us. With this, he has won the confidence of the people and we shall support his aspiration" said Chief Ezekiel Ajasa.

The Ogun State 2019 PDP governorship aspirant, in his remarks, stated that his resolve to donate the transformers was borne out of his consciousness of the fact that  electricity remained the needed catalyst for the economic development of any nation.
"As a result of the neglect by the current government, power problems have grown over the years with dire consequences on the state economy and standard of living of the people. I found it most significant to donate these transfomers to the people of Ado Odo Ota LG. With this, artisans will be able to work and other things hitherto impossible to achieve will be achieved" he said.

Adebutu equally lauded the former Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, whose regime he commended for instituting good governance in the gateway state between 2003 and 2011. He said the then PDP government put in place a lot of infrastructural facilities to the benefit of the people. He pledged to replicate that glorious era and surpass the legacies of OGD.

In a related development, the federal lawmaker paid a scheduled visit to the site of a mini bridge he is assissting the Ajogbo communities comprising Ajibode, Igbogbo Alayo and Konifewo to construct over Ajogbo river, Ajibode/Oke Ota road. He, also, donated one million naira for the back filling of the bridge.  Upon completion, the bridge will ease human and vehicular movement. The project is being handled by Engineer Kehinde Idowu on behalf of the Ajogbo Development Association.
