ABEOKUTA — A leading aspirant for the Ogun State House of Assembly, Alhaji Yisa Ismaila Adebayo, popularly known as OmoAde, has promised transformative and people-centered leadership if elected to represent Abeokuta North.
Speaking at a well-attended rally in Abeokuta North, OmoAde declared his intention to prioritize the welfare and development of his constituents, stressing that responsive governance and grassroots engagement would form the core of his leadership.
Addressing supporters and community leaders at the gathering, the aspirant said his ambition is driven by a genuine desire to serve the people and address the pressing challenges facing the constituency.
“My focus is on serving the people, listening to their concerns, and working tirelessly to address them,” OmoAde said, assuring residents that their voices would guide his legislative agenda.
He explained that his manifesto is built around key pillars aimed at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the people, including youth and women empowerment, infrastructure development, and agricultural growth.
According to him, empowering young people and women remains central to unlocking the constituency’s economic potential. He pledged to promote entrepreneurship, support small businesses, and expand access to skills acquisition programmes to reduce unemployment and encourage innovation among the youth.
“Empowering our youth and women is key to unlocking the area’s full potential,” he said.
OmoAde also highlighted agriculture as a major driver of economic development in Abeokuta North, noting that the area possesses significant agricultural resources that can be harnessed for sustainable growth.
He outlined plans to support local farmers through improved access to credit facilities, training in modern farming techniques, and the creation of reliable markets for farm produce.
“We must leverage our agricultural potential to create jobs and stimulate economic growth,” he emphasized, adding that strengthening agribusiness would enhance food security and improve livelihoods across the constituency.
Beyond economic initiatives, the aspirant stressed the need for unity and inclusive governance, pledging to work closely with community leaders, traditional institutions, and stakeholders to ensure that development efforts benefit all residents.
He further assured constituents that he would maintain open lines of communication through regular town hall meetings and continuous engagement with the people.
