The National association of Nigerian students NANS National body which is the umbrella body of all students in the universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and technology, the students body has over 45 million members. The association called for an emergency Senate meeting at the Taraba state university jalingo on the 23rd of March 2018 in respect of the last JAMB examination conducted across the 36 states of our federation.
National Association of Nigerian Students commended the leadership of JAMB under Prof Isiaq Oloyede for a wonderful exercise for about 1.5 million secondary students in Nigeria, the exercise which was free, fair and transparent.
Based on some information at our disposal, a student named Olowookere Oluwatobi Olaniran from Valencia College Ibadan scored 351 from the recent Jamb examination held across the nation, the score which is the highest score for 2018 jamb exercise while another student from TAIDOB college abeokuta Ajibola oluwatosin scored 349. The schools will be honored and celebrated for their excellence performance.
The association made a resolution among its members to honour Valencia and Taidob College for having such products which the nation is proud of, Valencia college is a member of NANS Roll of honour will bag a Lifetime Achievement Award for the landmark achievement recorded in recent years and most importantly for this year jamb examination. The college will be named Best Academic Institution in Nigeria while the student Olowookere Oluwatobi bags Academic excellence Award. While TAIDOB college will receive second best academic institution award.
The presentations shall be held within their school premises with the presence of parents and students stakeholders.
