The youths of Ogun west under the auspices of Ogun West Youth Liberation this afternoon after a close door meeting in Otta, hailed the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo for his open declaration of support for the senatorial governorship bid.
In a statement made available to news, Adesina Adegbola, the coordinator of the group extol Obasanjo as a leader whose love for justice, fairness and equity is unequalled.
'Obasanjo by endorsing, supporting and canvassing a Yewa-Awori governorship bid in 2019 has shown to the whole world that his love for justice, fairness and equity is rare, unequalled and distinct, we are proud of him and we pray God make this venture a timely one for both we Ogun westerners and the state as a whole'.
The statement further expressed appreciation to former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and the senator representing Ogun East in the National Assembly, Prince Buruji Kashamu for their past, present and future support for the Yewa Awori course.
'We thank Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Prince Buruji Kashamu for all they've done in the past to show support to our course, we trust they will do more as we approach 2019. Notably, we also want to thank His Excellency, Governor Amosun for his consistent promise to hand over to a Yewa Awori man'
'No doubt, our senatorial district is the major provider of the internally generated revenue with which Ogun state social amenities and infrastructural development is financed, so after 40 years of the creation of Ogun state its high time every body support us to produce the governor in 2019'
'We are ready as a people, we want to break the jinx this time around and we enjoin all notable leaders in Ogun to follow the steps of Obasanjo to support us so that justice and equity shall reign in Ogun State'.
