Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Accord Party campaign organisation has raised alarm over an alleged coordinated plot by APC governors and leaders to pressure INEC into declaring the ongoing Osun governorship election inconclusive, describing the alleged move as a last-minute attempt to frustrate what it called Adeleke’s “imminent victory.”
In a statement by media committee chairman Rep. Bamidele Salam, as reported by Tribune Newspaper, The Imole Campaign Council also alleged that ballot boxes had already been hijacked at some polling units by suspected APC-hired thugs, demanding their immediate arrest.
The campaign called on the IGP, DSS Director-General and NSCDC Commandant-General to deploy immediate security at all collation centres. It also reminded INEC of President Tinubu’s directive that the election must not be compromised, describing the poll as a 2027 litmus test. The allegations could not be independently verified
