ABEOKUTA — The Ogun State Government has officially declared open the application portal for the 2026/2027 academic session inter-school transfers across public primary and secondary schools in the state.

According to a press release signed by the State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi A. Arigbabu, the transfer window opened on Monday, August 24, 2026, and will remain accessible until Friday, December 11, 2026.

The application process covers transfers into Primaries 2 through 6, Junior Secondary classes (JS2 to JS3), and Senior Secondary classes (SS1 to SS2). However, the Ministry emphasized key restrictions: prospective transfers into designated Flagship Schools are strictly barred, while applications for terminal classes—specifically Primary 6, JS3, and SS2—require prior formal authorization from the Ministry before online filing can commence.

Outlining the steps for seamless registration, the Ministry directed guardians to access the digital portal ([https://diper.ogunstate.gov.ng/login](https://diper.ogunstate.gov.ng/login)) using the student’s Learner Identification Number (LIN). Parents transferring wards from outside Ogun State must first submit a formal clearance letter to the Ministry to verify eligibility and generate a valid LIN.

The application process involves selecting preferred institutions—subject to existing school quota limits—and making a non-refundable payment of ₦5,000 per application form online. Upon submission, applicants must print a hard copy of the completed form and deliver it directly to the target school alongside a photocopy of the student's latest promotion result.

For administrative support during the four-month window, the Ministry released direct contact numbers: Omikunle (08168815590), Saidat (07065628562), and Toyin (07060654595).
