The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Jubril Olasile Odulate, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to sustainable grassroots development with the commissioning of two landmark projects aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing access to quality education across the council area.

The projects, which include the newly constructed Radelu Street in Makun and the remodelled and fully furnished three-classroom block with an office at Ketu Mosimi, Sagamu, represent another significant milestone in the chairman's efforts to fulfil the promises made to the people upon assuming office.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Odulate recalled the pledge he made at his inauguration that his administration would not leave Sagamu Local Government the way it met it. According to him, that commitment has remained the guiding principle behind every policy, programme, and developmental project undertaken by the present administration.

He explained that his government has consistently sought opportunities to deliver impactful projects that will improve the quality of life of residents while laying a solid foundation for future growth and prosperity.

The chairman noted that the construction of Radelu Street will significantly improve connectivity within the Makun community, reduce travel time, facilitate easier movement of people and goods, and enhance economic activities in the area. He added that improved road infrastructure remains a critical component of grassroots development and a catalyst for social and commercial progress.

Odulate also highlighted the importance of investing in education, describing it as one of the most effective ways to secure the future of the younger generation. He stated that the remodelled and fully furnished classroom blocks at Ketu Mosimi would provide pupils and teachers with a more conducive, comfortable, and modern learning environment capable of promoting academic excellence.

He stressed that quality educational infrastructure is essential for nurturing future leaders and ensuring that children receive the standard of education they deserve.

The council boss expressed appreciation to residents for their continued support, cooperation, and confidence in his administration, assuring them that more developmental projects would be delivered across various communities within the local government.

According to him, the achievements recorded so far are only part of a broader vision to transform Sagamu into a more prosperous, accessible, and people-oriented local government.

"Our work continues, and by the grace of God, we will keep delivering projects that stand the test of time," he declared.

Residents and stakeholders who witnessed the commissioning commended the administration for prioritising infrastructure and education, expressing optimism that the projects would positively impact the socio-economic development of the benefiting communities.

The latest projects further underscore the Sagamu Local Government administration's determination to promote inclusive development and ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt at the grassroots, in line with its development agenda captured in the slogan "Igbega Ijọba Ibile Sagamu, Ajọṣe Gbogbo Wa."
