The 80th birthday celebration of Pa. Adejobi Adeshina, the Chief Lisa of Imeko Land, turned into a remarkable gathering of prominent personalities, family members, associates, and admirers as tributes poured in for the respected elder statesman in recognition of his enduring contributions to community development and youth empowerment.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion was Engr. Ogundele Jamiu Odunayo, popularly known as Jamsalod, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State and Chief Executive Officer of Jamsalod Nigeria Limited. He attended the event alongside Comrade Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo, the National Vice President (Southwest Zone) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), who also serves as the Ogun West Senatorial Chairman of the council.
The colourful celebration brought together traditional leaders, community stakeholders, political figures, friends, and well-wishers to honour Pa. Adeshina's remarkable journey of eight decades marked by exemplary leadership, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the progress of Imeko Land and humanity.
Speaking during the celebration, Engr. Ogundele described the octogenarian as a distinguished elder statesman whose life has remained a shining example of humility, selfless service, and visionary leadership.
According to him, Pa. Adejobi Adeshina has consistently demonstrated an uncommon passion for mentoring young people, promoting community development, and fostering peace and unity within Imeko Land and beyond.
He noted that the celebrant's commitment to nurturing future leaders and supporting initiatives aimed at improving society has earned him widespread admiration and respect across generations.
"Pa. Adejobi Adeshina represents the virtues of wisdom, integrity, discipline, and sacrifice. His lifelong dedication to community service and his fatherly guidance have inspired countless individuals to pursue excellence while remaining committed to the collective good of society," Engr. Ogundele said.
He further prayed that Almighty God would continue to bless the revered traditional chief with sound health, divine wisdom, peace of mind, and many more fruitful years in service to humanity.
Also paying glowing tribute, Comrade Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo described the celebrant as a pillar of wisdom and an advocate for youth development whose counsel and support have positively impacted many lives.
He urged younger generations to emulate the values of honesty, diligence, patriotism, and selfless leadership exemplified by the Chief Lisa of Imeko Land throughout his lifetime.
The celebration featured goodwill messages, prayers, and heartfelt tributes from family members, friends, associates, and community leaders, all of whom acknowledged Pa. Adeshina's immense contributions to the socio-cultural and economic development of Imeko Land.
