GUSAU, Zamfara — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Engr. Ibrahim Kazaure, has reaffirmed his commitment to tackling insecurity, declaring that the protection of lives and property will be the foremost priority of his administration if elected.
Kazaure made the pledge while outlining his vision for a safer and more secure Zamfara, stressing that no meaningful development can take place without lasting peace across the state.
According to the PDP standard-bearer, his administration will pursue a comprehensive security strategy built on stronger collaboration with security agencies, enhanced support for the Armed Forces, and community-based initiatives designed to address the root causes of banditry and violent crime.
He noted that effective coordination among security stakeholders, combined with intelligence gathering at the grassroots level, would strengthen ongoing efforts to restore normalcy in communities affected by criminal activities.
Kazaure also paid tribute to members of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security personnel serving in Zamfara, acknowledging the sacrifices they continue to make in the fight against banditry.
"I appreciate the sacrifice of our military in the ongoing intervention. My government will give them all the backing they need. Zamfara people deserve to sleep in peace and farm in peace," he said.
The governorship hopeful emphasized that his administration would provide the necessary institutional support and logistics within the limits of the law to complement the efforts of security agencies. He added that sustained engagement with traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, and other stakeholders would be central to building a united front against insecurity.
Kazaure maintained that restoring confidence among residents, safeguarding farming communities, and creating an environment conducive to economic growth would remain key objectives of his administration.
He further assured the people of Zamfara that his government would be people-focused, responsive, and committed to ensuring that every citizen can live, work, and pursue their livelihoods without fear.
The PDP candidate called on residents to remain united, support lawful security efforts, and continue to believe that lasting peace is achievable through collective commitment, responsible leadership, and sustained collaboration.
