Police investigate suspected poisoning after three bodies were discovered in Ijebu Igbo residence

Residents of the Egbe Subair area of Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State were left in shock and mourning after the bodies of a woman, her son, and a man identified as Ope, popularly known as “Shanko,” were discovered inside a residential building under mysterious circumstances.
The tragic incident, which occurred in the quiet neighbourhood near the residence of late politician Buruji Kashamu, has sparked widespread concern and speculation among residents as security agencies intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
According to preliminary reports, the woman and her alleged boyfriend, Ope, were found lifeless inside a toilet within the residence, while the body of the woman’s son was discovered in a separate room in the same building.
