Gunmen targeted the Nigeria Immigration Service office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Tuesday night, disarming the officers on duty.
Local sources report that the raid occurred at approximately 10:00 PM. The attackers successfully overpowered the immigration personnel and fled with their firearms.
An anonymous source within the ancient city confirmed the security breach, which has sparked immediate safety concerns in the area.
Efforts to reach the Oyo State Police Command for an official reaction on Wednesday morning have so far been unsuccessful.
