As the holy month of Ramadan winds down, a wave of appreciation continues to trail the humanitarian efforts of Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji, who has reached out to Muslim communities across Remoland with timely interventions aimed at easing the burden of fasting families.
Representing the Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North Federal Constituency, the lawmaker demonstrated a proactive approach even before the commencement of Ramadan. She donated six professional stage King TT55 sound systems to the Sagamu Central Mosque, enhancing communication during prayers and religious gatherings.
Her goodwill efforts did not stop there. Throughout the fasting period, Ayoola-Elegbeji spearheaded the distribution of Ramadan food palliatives across the three local government areas within her constituency. The outreach was strategically coordinated through central mosques in each area, including the Iperu Central Mosque, Isara Central Mosque, and again the Sagamu Central Mosque.
At each location, essential food supplies were distributed to Muslim faithful, offering relief to households observing the fast amid current economic challenges. The exercise was carried out by members of her team, including community coordinators and volunteers, who ensured that the process remained orderly and respectful.
The initiative was warmly received by religious leaders and worshippers alike. Imams and mosque elders offered prayers for the lawmaker, commending her for her inclusiveness and for remembering the Muslim community during one of its most sacred periods.
