A renewed commitment to environmental sustainability and public health took center stage in Abeokuta North Local Government as key community leaders and government officials convened for a high-level engagement on waste management challenges facing the area.
The meeting, which brought together the Zonal Chairman alongside Chairmen and Secretaries of all 17 Area Community Development Committees (CDCs), provided a platform for open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving on the growing concerns over environmental degradation.
At the heart of the discussions was the alarming trend of indiscriminate refuse disposal along roadsides and the persistent blockage of drainage systems across communities.
