Ogun State Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun - MFR , has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to technology-driven education with the approval of a ₦1 billion, 900-seater artificial intelligence–powered digital classroom complex at Remo Secondary School, Sagamu.
The governor said the ultra-modern facility is designed to prepare students for the demands of the 21st-century knowledge economy, noting that it builds on existing smart-learning infrastructure in the school, including a digital resource centre and a fully equipped robotics laboratory.
Governor Abiodun also announced a ₦100 million support package for the school, disclosing that ₦50 million would be released immediately. He assured that at least one major project would be initiated and completed at the school before the end of his administration.
In addition, the governor said the state government has remodelled the science laboratories to meet modern standards and rehabilitated both the boys’ and girls’ hostels to enhance safety, comfort, and overall student welfare.
Speaking as the school marked its 80th anniversary, Governor Abiodun described Remo Secondary School as a heritage institution and one of the state’s flagship secondary schools. He commended the old students’ association for its continued support and sense of shared responsibility in sustaining the school’s legacy of excellence.
He also urged students to remain committed to learning, uphold integrity, and preserve the proud traditions handed down through generations, assuring them of the government’s sustained investment in quality education across Ogun State.
