Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has approved the immediate and early disbursement of February salaries to all civil servants and pensioners in the state, with payments set to commence from Friday, February 13, 2026.

The decision aims to provide financial relief and enable workers and retirees to adequately prepare for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, allowing them to meet family needs and observe the fast with greater ease amid economic pressures.

According to official details, the payment covers employees across the State Civil Service, Local Government Councils, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) staff, and other eligible categories, including pensioners.

This move reflects the governor's ongoing commitment to the welfare of public sector workers and retirees, ensuring timely access to their earnings during significant religious periods. Civil servants and pensioners are advised to monitor their accounts starting Friday for the salary credits.
