Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has called on investors across the globe to establish their businesses in the State, assuring them that his administration will continue to provide a stable and enabling environment for investments to thrive.

The Governor made the call at the M.K.O. Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Laderin, Abeokuta, while declaring open the 15th Gateway International Trade Fair, themed “Promoting Businesses Through Partnerships.” He noted that his administration has intensified efforts to strengthen the State’s economic competitiveness through strategic infrastructural development, reforms, and pro-business policies.

Represented by the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Adebola Sofela, Governor Abiodun stated that the government’s sustained efforts are already translating into increased investor confidence, job creation, and business expansion across Ogun State, widely regarded as Nigeria’s industrial hub.

“Ogun State remains open, stable, and ready for investment. Our administration will continue to provide an enabling environment where businesses can grow and prosper,” the Governor said.

“Today, Ogun State proudly stands as Nigeria’s industrial hub, hosting the highest concentration of industries in the country. Our strategic location, pro-business policies, expanding infrastructure, and commitment to investor support have made our State the preferred destination for manufacturing and large-scale investments,” he added.

Speaking further on the significance of the Fair, Governor Abiodun noted that this year’s edition is particularly symbolic as the State celebrates its golden jubilee. He urged exhibitors and participants to leverage the platform to build strategic partnerships and conclude meaningful business deals.

Earlier in his welcome address, the President of the Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA), Lion Niyi Osiyemi, commended the State Government for creating a conducive business environment and for supporting six editions of the exhibition over the past six years.

Osiyemi appealed to the government to construct a permanent pavilion at the M.K.O. Abiola Trade Fair Complex to further consolidate the growth recorded at the annual event.

In his goodwill message, the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, represented by Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Cole, lauded the Governor’s business-friendly policies, noting that they have strengthened the investment climate and positioned Ogun State as a preferred destination for investors.

Two exhibitors at the event, Mr. Razak Adeyemi and Mr. Matthew Adebayo, described the turnout as impressive and commended both the State Government and OGUNCCIMA for the successful organization of this year’s edition.
