Moniepoint Microfinance Bank has unveiled plans to host the 2026 State Retail Officers Masterclass (SROM) as part of its drive to strengthen customer acquisition, service efficiency and revenue growth of its retail banking operations across the country.
The three-day masterclass, themed “Sales and Operational Intelligence,” will take place from January 8 to 10, 2026, at the Prixair Training Center, Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, and will convene retail officers, compliance managers, operations leaders and sales executives from across the North Central region and other parts of the country.
Organisers said the programme is designed to deepen participants’ capacity in sales analytics, branch performance management and customer-centric operations, in line with Moniepoint’s expansion strategy in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital banking sector.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, the convener and Regional Retail Officer for the North Central Region, Evah Progress, said SROM 2026 would serve as a platform to reposition retail officers as frontline growth drivers.
He explained that the training would focus on equipping officers with intelligence-based tools to improve market penetration, strengthen customer retention and increase operational accountability.
The masterclass will feature sessions led by senior Moniepoint executives and financial services professionals, including Ezekiel Sani, Senior Vice President, DNS; Tolu Alegbe, Vice President, Moniepoint Loans; Abdulmumin Tijjani, Regional Manager, Product Sales (Retail Banking); Mutiu Tijani, Regional Manager, Product Sales (Loans); Oluwatosin Oyekanmi, Head of Growth, Retail Banking; and marketing strategist Udochukwu Chikwendu.
Other facilitators include Umulqusum Abdulwahab, HR Business Partner, North Central; Sulaiman Rabiu, State Coordinator, FCT; Edwin Onyegbuna, Regional Compliance Officer; Betty Kenneth, Sales Operations Officer; and Hamza Abdullahi, Regional Training Officer.
Moniepoint said the masterclass underscores its commitment to developing a performance-driven retail structure capable of delivering innovative financial solutions and superior customer experience across its regional markets.
