The Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State has announced plans to hold a stakeholders’ meeting to deliberate on the newly introduced Baale Certificate of Recognition and Certificate of Right of Occupancy (C of O) within the local government area.
According to a statement issued by the Management of Ewekoro Local Government, the meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 21st January, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. prompt at the Ewekoro Local Government Secretariat, Itori.
The stakeholders’ meeting is expected to bring together traditional institutions, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders across the local government area to engage in constructive discussions on issues surrounding the new Baale Certificate of Recognition and the Certificate of Right of Occupancy. The initiative is part of the local government’s efforts to ensure clarity, transparency, and inclusiveness in matters affecting traditional leadership structures and land administration.
The Management noted that the meeting will provide an opportunity for participants to gain firsthand information, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully to the implementation and administration of the new certification processes. It emphasized that the deliberations would be of immense benefit to traditional institutions and host communities within Ewekoro Local Government Area.
“All concerned stakeholders are strongly advised to attend this important meeting, as the outcome will have significant implications for traditional institutions and land-related matters in the local government,” the statement read.
The Management further encouraged the presence and active participation of all invited stakeholders, stressing that collective engagement remains key to fostering harmony, good governance, and sustainable development at the grassroots level.
The meeting is expected to set the tone for improved collaboration between the local government authorities and traditional institutions in Ewekoro Local Government Area.
