His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, yesterday, Friday, 27th December 2025, officially declared open the Yewa Frontier Amusement Park and Cinema Hall, as well as Yewa Frontier 102.9 FM. The twin projects have been described as the dawn of a new chapter in entertainment, tourism, media, and broader economic advancement for Ilaro, Yewaland, and Ogun State at large.
Kabiyesi commended the initiator of the projects, Engr. Afisu Olabimtan, for his dedication and love for Yewaland. His Majesty particularly appreciated the decision to name the projects after Yewa, describing it as a symbolic call for unity and collective progress across the land. He also commended his brother, Asoju Muftau Olabimtan, for his forthrightness, commitment, and dedication in personally supervising all the facilities, describing him as a proud and worthy symbol of a son whom others with well-to-do family members abroad should emulate.
Oba Olugbenle used the occasion to address recent comments from certain quarters regarding the project’s address, stating clearly that Yewa Frontier is situated within the Ilaro Housing Estate Scheme. His Majesty further explained that the Scheme axis comprises land acquisitions from Ilaro, Ijanna, and Ibese, but has been officially designated as “Ilaro Housing Estate Scheme" from inception by the Ogun State Government, from whom the land was purchased. Kabiyesi advised those raising concerns to redirect their energy toward the collective development of their communities and Yewaland at large, and to allow residents of the border communities between Ibese and Ilaro to live in peace.
His Majesty further cited the Dangote Cement Plant as a practical example, noting that the facility sits on land contributed by Ibese, Imasayi, Iboro, Ijako-Orile, Onigbedu in Egba Division, and other neighbouring communities, yet is commonly referred to as Dangote Cement Ibese for ease of identification and administrative clarity. Kabiyesi stressed that such nomenclature does not diminish the identity or contributions of any host community, but rather serves as a unifying reference point in the interest of order and development.
Kabiyesi firmly declared that Yewa Frontier investments at the Ilaro Housing Estate have come to stay, reiterating his commitment to the overall development of Yewaland, with no room for distractions or division by enemies of progress.
Several monarchs from across Yewaland were in attendance, joining the Paramount Ruler in what has been widely described as a historic milestone and a new chapter for the region. Also present were the Ogun State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Olaolu Olabimtan; Olori Omotayo Olugbenle; Chief (Mrs.) Temitope Adeola, the Yeye Aremo of Yewaland and wife of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, alongside many other distinguished guests.
His Majesty, in the company of other dignitaries, took a practical tour of the amusement park facilities in a lively and fun-filled atmosphere. Kabiyesi also went live on Yewa Frontier Radio 102.9 FM, where he offered heartfelt prayers and goodwill messages for the successful operation and longevity of the radio station.
As always, the development of Yewaland remains the central driving force for Oba Olugbenle. Unmoved by distractions and undeterred by unnecessary noise, Kabiyesi continues to lead with clarity and purpose. His Majesty remains resolute in his commitment to inclusive development across Yewaland, as the land steadily marches forward to greater progress and prosperity in 2026.
