In a significant move to enhance the safety of workers on the strategic Sokoto–Badagary Super Highway, the Kebbi State Government has donated 10 brand-new Toyota Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works.

The vehicles were officially handed over to the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, during a brief ceremony.

The Minister commended Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the generous support, describing it as a strong testament to the state’s dedication to the successful completion of the vital national infrastructure project.

Goronyo confirmed that the Hilux vehicles will be assigned exclusively to security personnel tasked with protecting construction teams and contractors along the Kebbi section of the highway.

The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a flagship multi-state project designed to improve transportation links, stimulate trade, and foster economic integration between northern and southern Nigeria.

The donation is expected to provide much-needed logistical support to security operations, helping to safeguard ongoing construction activities in the region.
