Akure, Nigeria — A major national spiritual gathering is set to take place in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as men of God, imams, and other religious leaders prepare to converge for a historic day of intercession aimed at restoring Nigeria’s “lost glory.”

The event, organized by the Oduduwa Integrity Association, is tagged “Operation Take Back the Lost Glory of Nigeria” and is scheduled for December 12, 2025. The highly anticipated gathering will be led by Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder of the Evangelical Ministry in Lagos, renowned for his national prophetic interventions.

According to the Oduduwa Integrity Association, the initiative is driven by the belief that Nigeria’s prolonged economic hardship, insecurity, moral decline, and institutional decay are not just political or social issues but deeply rooted spiritual challenges requiring divine intervention.

A spokesperson for the association explained that the vision for the national prayer day is a mandate “borne out of spiritual conviction,” adding that the nation’s difficulties over the past three decades are signs of divine displeasure that must be addressed through repentance and collective spiritual cleansing.

“Nigeria’s problems are deeply rooted in spiritual issues, and it’s only through spiritual cleansing that we can restore the nation’s former glory,” the spokesperson said. “We are calling on all men of God, imams, and religious leaders to join us in this noble endeavor. Together, we can make a difference and bring back the glory of Nigeria.”

The day’s activities will begin with an intensive prayer session at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Oduduwa Integrity Day/Awards Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Participants from across the country are expected to attend, with prayers focusing on national unity, leadership, economic revitalization, security stability, and moral rejuvenation.

Primate Ayodele, who will serve as Guest of Honor, is expected to deliver special prophetic declarations and lead intercessory sessions centered on national breakthrough.

The Oduduwa Integrity Association emphasized that any spiritual leader who questions the vision behind the programme is encouraged to “seek God’s guidance” for clarity. The group also extended an open invitation to Nigerians of all backgrounds to join in praying for the country’s redemption and future.

The event details are as follows:

Date: December 12, 2025

Time: 8:00 a.m. (Prayer Session), 10:00 a.m. (Integrity Day/Awards Ceremony)

As national challenges persist, the organizers say the gathering represents a beacon of hope—an opportunity for Nigerians to unite spiritually and reclaim the country’s long-lost glory.
