Sagamu, Ogun State — The camp of Hon. Adeniran Ademola Adeyinka, popularly known as Sapele, has released an official statement addressing recent public commentaries and emotional reactions concerning his leadership and representation of Sagamu Constituency II.

In the statement titled “When the Focus is Progress, Distraction Becomes Powerless,” the team reaffirmed Hon. Sapele’s commitment to peace, unity, and purposeful service, emphasizing that leadership is not a contest of words but a covenant of responsibility.

“In recent times, several commentaries and emotional outbursts have surfaced across various platforms regarding the person and performance of Hon. Sapele. As a camp, we understand that leadership attracts both applause and criticism. But we remain guided by one truth — no one throws stones at an empty tree,” the statement read.

The release highlighted that Hon. Sapele bears no grudge toward his critics, noting that he views differing opinions as expressions of passion for the progress of Sagamu.

“Hon. Sapele holds no bitterness toward anyone. He is a man who believes that every voice, even when harsh, reflects the love people have for Sagamu’s growth. He appreciates those who speak, those who listen, and those who watch silently — because it shows Sagamu is alive, engaged, and conscious of its progress.”

Reaffirming his principles, the statement described Hon. Sapele as a leader guided by humility, service, and integrity, stressing that his focus remains unshaken despite distractions.

“Leadership, for him, is not a contest of insults but a covenant of service. His focus remains unshaken: to serve with humility, to represent with integrity, and to advance the common good of Sagamu Constituency II. The record is clear — unity will always achieve more than division, and maturity will always outshine noise,” it added.

The camp reiterated its resolve to prioritize ideas over arguments and development over discord, noting that the ultimate mission is to drive meaningful progress for the people of Sagamu.

“We will not trade words; we will trade ideas. We will not chase shadows; we will chase development. We will not fight individuals; we will fight poverty, inequality, and underdevelopment,” the statement emphasized.

The message further called on all stakeholders — elders, youths, critics, and supporters alike — to unite in building a better future for the constituency, reminding everyone that Sagamu’s prosperity depends on collective effort and peace.

“Sagamu belongs to all of us — the critics, the supporters, the elders, and the youths. Let’s build, not break. Let’s rise, not rage. The future we all desire will only come through peace, focus, and continuity of responsible leadership,” the statement concluded.

With a tone of reassurance, the message ended on a familiar note among Hon. Sapele’s supporters:

“Sapele tí wá Okay — For Makun, for the people, for the future.”
