The Kaduna State Police Command has recovered the body of a man, previously kidnapped in Abuja, along Kabode Road in Kachia Local Government Area, with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
The discovery, reported on October 21, 2025, by Halilu Ayuba, the Village Head of Iseme Kachia, was made by Jamilu Danazumi of Kabode Village around noon near the Nigerian Army Exercise Camp.
According to sources, a piece of paper with two phone numbers found in the victim’s pocket led police to his relatives, who confirmed he was abducted in Bukwa Village, Abuja, on October 2, 2025.
Troops from Operation FANSAN YANMA, alongside other security agencies, responded to the scene, where one empty AK-47 shell was recovered as evidence.
The victim was rushed to General Hospital Kachia, where a medical doctor pronounced him dead, and his body was moved to the hospital morgue.
The Kaduna State Police Command has contacted the deceased’s relatives and launched an investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.
