In a bold demonstration of grassroots empowerment and visionary leadership, Hon Alh Omooba Damilare Mohammed Bello (Omoobadre), through the DMB Foundation, has taken another remarkable step in youth development by hosting the graduation ceremony for the second batch of his computer training programme in Sagamu.
The ten-week programme, which equipped thirty-five young participants with essential computer and digital literacy skills, forms part of Omoobadre’s long-term vision to nurture a digitally empowered generation in Sagamu and beyond.
Addressing the audience, Hon Bello, who currently represents Sagamu 1 Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, stated:
This is not charity, this is responsibility. Empowering our youths with digital skills is a strategic investment in the future of our community. We must prepare our people for the evolving global economy.
In addition to the training, Hon Bello presented ten thousand naira to each graduate as seed support to further their educational or entrepreneurial journey. The gesture highlights his hands-on and impact-driven approach to governance.
The event attracted prominent political stakeholders, including PDP House of Representatives bye-election aspirants Asiwaju Bola Oluwole and Dr Oyenuga Adesola (Jasper). Both commended the initiative and praised Omoobadre’s consistency in delivering people-focused programmes. Asiwaju also extended financial support to the graduates.
The success of this second batch reaffirms the DMB Foundation’s role as a catalyst for positive change, youth empowerment, and community development. Omoobadre continues to set a high standard in representation through meaningful engagement and tangible impact.
With initiatives such as this, Hon Bello is clearly redefining leadership through empathy, purpose, and action.
