Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has announced his endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027, describing him as a distinguished son of the state.
The announcement was made in a statement following a meeting with the PDP Leadership Caucus in Osogbo, after extensive consultations with stakeholders, including traditional rulers, civil servants, market leaders, and grassroots party members.
In the statement, Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the platform that enabled him to serve Osun.
He highlighted key resolutions from the meeting: his unanimous endorsement by the Osun PDP for a second term in 2026, the party’s strong popularity and trust across the state, and his dedication to delivering on his Five-Point Agenda.
“The love and support from the people of Osun continue to inspire me. Together, we move forward,” Adeleke said.
He also declared the Osun PDP’s support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, recognizing his contributions and connection to the state.
The endorsement signals a strategic alignment ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections, with Adeleke emphasizing unity and progress for Osun and Nigeria.
The statement reads: “Yesterday, I met with the @OfficialPDPNig Leadership Caucus in Osogbo after weeks of consultations with stakeholders across Osun — from traditional rulers and civil servants to market leaders and grassroots party members.
