A Nigerian traveller has cried out over the unfair treatment of Nigerians at the boarding gate in Dubai International Airport.

In a video trending on X, the visibly displeased traveller showed how passengers heading to Nigeria were left standing or sitting on the floor, while passengers at other nearby gates had proper chairs.

“When we asked, they said there’s nothing they can do. If we want to sit, we should go to a restaurant,” the traveller said in the video.

The individual called on the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, to intervene, describing the situation as “unfair” and “not normal.”

“This is not right. They shouldn’t be treating us Nigerians like this,” the traveller added. “I know you’ve been doing a good job, and we’re proud of you, but please look into this.”

The video has since sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians calling for better treatment of citizens abroad.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the Ministry of Aviation or the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
