The Defence Headquarters has announced the arrest of a Chinese national claiming to be a miner, along with several terrorist logistics suppliers and collaborators, in Borno and Yobe States.
According to Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, the arrests were made during coordinated operations in Kukawa and Ngala Local Government Areas of Borno State.
The Chinese national is currently undergoing interrogation, and investigations are underway to determine their motives and potential involvement in illegal activities.
Meanwhile, several Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists have surrendered to troops due to intensified military pressure.
“We remain dedicated to transparency and will keep the public informed of our ongoing efforts to ensure the stability and security of our great nation,” he added.
