So-Safe Corps Intensifies Statewide Security Ahead of 2025 Eid-ul-Kabir Celebrations

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has heightened its security presence and surveillance across all 20 local government areas of the state in preparation for the 2025 Eid-ul-Kabir celebrations.

According to a statement issued by the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, the agency has deployed no fewer than 1,000 personnel to patrol and monitor the state throughout the festive period.

Ganzallo directed all Zonal and Area Commanders to liaise with Islamic leaders and community stakeholders within their respective jurisdictions to ensure that any suspicious activity is swiftly addressed. He stated:

> “Commanders have been instructed to work closely with Imams, traditional rulers, and Community Development Association (CDA) leaders to sensitize residents on the dangers of crime. They are also to patrol and arrest anyone suspected of attempting to disrupt public peace.”

He added that identified black spots across the state are being closely monitored, especially in the days leading up to the Eid celebration.

Sounding a stern warning to individuals with criminal intentions, Commander Ganzallo emphasized that Ogun State will not tolerate lawlessness.

> “The state will not be a haven for criminal elements. Anyone planning to breach the peace should rethink their actions, as the law will take its full course without fear or favour,” he said.

He reiterated that the Corps remains committed to preserving and enhancing the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed across the state.

Ganzallo also called for the active cooperation of residents, stressing that security agencies depend on timely information to function effectively.

> “We urge all residents to support the Corps with credible information. This will greatly enhance our ability to respond swiftly to any potential threats,” he noted.

While congratulating Muslim faithful in Ogun State, the Commander assured residents of a peaceful celebration.

> “We urge everyone to celebrate joyfully. The safety of lives and property is assured, and we pray that the blessings of this holy season reflect in the lives of all,” he concluded.
