Obafemi Owode Local Government Set to Commission a Series of Completed Projects Under Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola's Leadership

Obafemi Owode, Nigeria – June 25, 2025 – In a significant move aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents and promoting sustainable development, the Obafemi Owode Local Government is set to unveil a series of completed projects on Monday, June 30, 2025. The commissioning ceremony, spearheaded by the Executive Chairman, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola FCPA, promises to be a grand affair, welcoming esteemed state delegates, party leaders, royal fathers, and various stakeholders within the local government.


The event will kick off early in the morning at 9 a.m. with the commissioning of a motorized borehole at Derupatan Village, Ajebo Ward. This project aims to provide residents with access to clean and safe drinking water, addressing a critical need in the community. The borehole represents a significant stride towards improving the living conditions of the village’s inhabitants.


Following this, at 11 a.m., the spotlight will shift to the commissioning of a newly built Shopping Mall in Magboro Town. This development not only enhances commercial activity in the area but is also expected to create job opportunities for many locals, bolstering the local economy.


By noon, the ceremony will proceed to the commissioning of two blocks of 10 classrooms complete with an office, store, and toilet facilities. This educational initiative is designed to cater to the increasing number of students in the area, ensuring that the youth of Obafemi Owode receive quality education in a conducive environment.


In the afternoon, at 2 p.m., Amb. Ogunsola will officially launch the Ogidan Asphalt Road, Phase 1, in Owode-Egba. This critical infrastructure project is anticipated to significantly ease transportation within the locality, facilitating trade and connectivity among communities.


As the day progresses, the executive chairman will inaugurate the newly rehabilitated Legislative Chamber at the Local Government Secretariat at 3 p.m. This refurbishment symbolizes a renewed commitment to effective governance and legislative processes within the local government, allowing for better functionality and service delivery.


The day will culminate with a reception for guests at the Local Government Secretariat at 4 p.m., where stakeholders will have the opportunity to network and engage in discussions on further developmental projects aimed at enhancing the welfare of the local populace.
