The Arewa 19 Pyramid for Grassroots Development, a northern group, has expressed full support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket for the 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) elections.
The group's leader, Ahmed Abdulraheem, made the declaration over the weekend, while addressing journalists in Gombe State.
The group believes the ticket is in the best interest of the party and the nation. Abdulraheem warned that agitations for Vice President Kashim Shettima's replacement could overheat the polity and cause problems for the APC.
“We gather here today not just as concerned citizens, but as committed stakeholders in the future of our region and our nation.
“This is a defining moment, a time to set aside distractions and firmly support the leadership steering our country toward progress,” he said.
Ahmed opined that Shettima remains a vibrant and formidable politician that will continue to contribute to the success of Tinubu’s administration.
“Shettima has earned his place through years of service, sacrifice, and dedication to the unity of this country. Undermining him is not just an affront to the North, but it is a disservice to the nation,” he stated.
