Nigerian Air Force Destroys Boko Haram's Logistics Facilities in Airstrikes

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully carried out airstrikes against Boko Haram's logistics facilities in Borno State, killing several terrorists.

The airstrikes conducted under Operation Hadin Kai, targeted terrorist hideouts in Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the Southern Tumbuns area.

The operation were based on credible intelligence that the locations were being used by insurgents for storage and operational planning.

NAF destroyed Boko Haram's logistics facilities, dealing a significant blow to the terrorist group.

The exercise is part of the NAF's ongoing efforts to deny terrorists freedom of action and safeguard civilian populations in the North-East.

Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

He said, “In a series of precision airstrikes conducted on 5 and 6 June 2025, the Nigerian Air Force, under Operation Kai, decimated key Boko Haram hideouts at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the Southern Tumbuns, Borno State.

“Acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft targeted terrorist structures reportedly used for storage and coordination, delivering direct hits and crippling planned attacks aimed at disrupting Eid celebrations.

“Battle Damage Assessments confirmed the neutralisation of several terrorists and the destruction of key logistics structures. This pre-emptive action underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to safeguarding civilian lives and supporting national security objectives.”

The NAF's successful operation demonstrates its commitment to combating terrorism and protecting the lives of Nigerians.
