My First Child D!ed Because I Couldn't Afford Hospital Bills - Actor, Ibrahim Chatta

Veteran Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta has shared a deeply emotional story of losing his first child, a baby girl, due to his inability to afford her hospital bills.

In a heartfelt conversation on a movie set, Chatta revealed the tragic events that unfolded during the early years of his career.

Chatta's daughter was admitted to a hospital in Lagos, but despite his desperate efforts to raise funds for her treatment, he couldn't secure the needed amount. The child sadly passed away, leaving Chatta and his family devastated.

In a heart-wrenching detail, Chatta disclosed that his daughter was buried in a wooden Coca-Cola crate due to their dire financial situation.

He said, “Malik is not my firstborn. My first child is a baby girl. I lost her because I couldn’t pay hospital bills.

“She was taken to the hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos State. I trekked from Ijora Badia to Makoko, and I couldn’t get any money until she died. My first child was buried in the old wooden crate of Coke.
