Chief Toyin Amuzu Calls for Enhanced Security and Unity During Eid-Ul-Adha Celebrations

Chief Toyin Amuzu, the House of Representatives candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims worldwide in celebration of Eid-Ul-Adha 2025. In his message, Amuzu emphasized the importance of peace, communal bonds, and the urgent need for improved security measures in Nigeria.

Eid-Ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, marks a significant period for Muslims, symbolizing devotion, faith, and the spirit of giving. Addressing the occasion, Chief Amuzu highlighted the values embedded in this celebration, calling on all citizens to embody the teachings of empathy and sacrifice.

With Nigeria grappling with the persistent threats of insurgency, banditry, and other forms of violence, the PDP chieftain urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration to prioritize reforms in the country’s security architecture.

“The ongoing security challenges have impeded our progress as a nation. We must not allow fear and division to prevail. It is imperative that we strengthen our security framework to ensure the safety of all Nigerians," he said. "A secure environment is essential for fostering economic growth, promoting social cohesion, and allowing citizens to thrive without fear."

In his message, Amuzu also called for collective efforts from all levels of government, civil society, and the citizenry to work together in addressing the root causes of insecurity. “We must invest in our communities by creating job opportunities, enhancing education, and fostering dialogue. Everyone has a role to play in the peace and stability of our nation,” he remarked.
