JAMB Releases 2025 UTME Results, Withholds Over 39,000 Over Exam Malpractices

JAMB-

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), but withholds the results of 39,834 candidates over alleged examination malpractices.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, made this announcement on Friday during a press briefing in Abuja, noting that over 1.9 million candidates participated in the nationwide examination.

He disclosed that 80 individuals are currently under interrogation for various forms of examination fraud. Of the states involved, Anambra leads with 14 suspects.

Additionally, Prof. Oloyede revealed that 467 underage candidates met the prescribed minimum score, while 50 candidates have been identified in connection with confirmed cases of cheating.

“We are committed to upholding the integrity of the examination process and will continue to investigate all reported cases thoroughly,” Oloyede emphasized.

This year’s results, according to the board, are consistent with the performance trends observed over the past 12 years.
