The Legislative Council of Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State has directed the Management of Necad Nerrow to put on hold the collection of fines on helmets and side mirrors.
The House Leader, Ogundairo Jamiu made this known in a statement signed by him and made available to journalists in Abeokuta after an extensive deliberation on the crisis between the management of Necad Nerrow Nigeria Limited and the Arewa faction of the Okada Riders in the local Government.
The Legislative Council has also summoned ACOMORAN, AMORAN, ROMO and the consultant on IGR to the local government ( NECAD NERO NIG LTD) MR NURUDEEN OLAYINKA ADENUGA.
The statement reads”This is to inform you that the Legislative House at its sitting held on Monday, 5th May, 2025 after an extensive deliberation on the crisis between the Management of Necad Nerrow Nigeria Limited and Arewa faction of the Okada Riders in the Local Government Area unanimously resolved as follows:
“1. That the Management of Necad Nerrow should with immediate effect put on hold the collection of fines on Helmets and side mirrors within the Local Government Area until the House decide otherwise.
“Also, the House further resolved that the Executive Officer, Necad Nerrow Nig. Ltd Mr. Olayinka Nurudeen Adenuga should appear before the House on Tuesday, 6th May, 2025 by 10.00am for further discussion on the issue.
” Furthermore, the House in its bid to resolve the crisis further resolve that Two (2) members each from the underlisted Associations should appear before the House on Tuesday, 6th May, 2025 by 1.00pm.

il. The Association of Motorcycles owners and Riders of Nigeria (AMORAN)
iv. Arewa Motorcycles Riders Association
