Education is the Bedrock of a Secured Future, Says Amb. Ogunsola During School Inspections

 

Obafemi Owode, March 13, 2025 – In a resounding affirmation of the pivotal role education plays in shaping a secure future, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, the Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, underscored the importance of collective responsibility in building a brighter tomorrow. This statement came during his recent inspection of two newly constructed educational facilities: the Maba Primary School and Lord's Way Model Nursery and Primary School, Siun.

The visit aimed to assess the completion status of a newly built 20-classroom block at Maba Primary School and a 24-classroom facility with boarding options at Lord's Way Model School. Both institutions reflect a commitment to enhancing educational opportunities within the council area, which has been challenged by its vast landmass.

Commending the efforts of the proprietor of Lord's Way Model School, Prophet Godwin Ojerinde, Amb. Ogunsola praised the collaboration between the government and educational institutions in striving to make education accessible to all. "Building our future together is a collective responsibility," he reiterated, highlighting the need for community involvement in educational initiatives.

Prophet Ojerinde shared the inspiration behind founding Lord's Way Model School, reflecting on his 35 years abroad and his calling as a prophet. He expressed his intent to positively impact lives through education, stating, "Impacting knowledge is a great legacy one could invest in." The school is equipped with modern facilities, including 24 classrooms, six restrooms, a sports field, and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) for enhanced security.

The founder also expressed gratitude to the Obafemi Owode Local Government for supporting his vision and facilitating the necessary approvals for the school's infrastructure. With a team of professional teachers recruited to meet state educational standards, the school is poised to welcome students for enrollment. "We are set to uplift the standard of education while offering tuition fees that are affordable for every parent, taking into account the economic realities of Nigeria," said Prophet Ojerinde.

In addition to the school inspections, Amb. Ogunsola reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects within the local government. These include the reconstruction of the local government secretariat road in Ogidan and the rehabilitation of roads in the Mowe and Ibafo areas. Furthermore, he inspected the renovation of the legislative chamber and community development department at the local government secretariat, affirming his commitment to improving local infrastructure.

The inspection entourage included notable political figures such as Hon. Kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to the Local Government; Hon. Saheed Ariyibi, Leader of the Legislative Council; and several other officials committed to advancing the local government's vision.
